Approaching festivities

To receive a book before December 25th, it is necessary to formalize the order at least 2 weeks in advance and notify the bookshop that delivery must take place before Christmas. The bookshop usually closes in August: orders placed during this period are processed as quickly as possible upon return.

Export license

Some of our books (printed 70 years or more before purchase) require an export licence to leave the country: the timing of the release of free circulation licenses is quite long, and it can take up to a month and a half  to obtain the licence. Contact us for more information.

Notes Rarissima prima traduzione in ceco del «Il Porto Sepolto», edita nel settembre 1934 in soli 99 esemplari numerati per i tipi della rivista d’avanguardia internazionale «Pásmo / La zone / Die Zone / The Zone / La zona», espressione del gruppo Dev?tsil. Con la versione ceca affidata al poeta e storico Zden?k Kalista – profondo conoscitore dell’Italia, studioso del Barocco e della sua influenza sulla letteratura e l’arte boeme — l’opera vide gli eleganti disegni che aprono il libro affidati alla pittrice Toyen (pseudonimo di Marie ?erminová) e l’ideazione grafica curata dal sodale di lunga data e per tutta la vita di Toyen, ovvero l’artista e scrittore Jind?ich Štyrský, suo compagno anche all’interno del movimento Dev?tsil e poi con lei fondatore, nel 1934, del gruppo surrealista ceco (grazie soprattutto ai profondi legami di Toyen con Parigi in cui maturò la sua amicizia con André Breton, Paul Eluard e Louis Aragon).
Condition Ottimo esemplare numero 58 di 99 numerati e firmati dall’artista Toyen (Marie ?erminová).
Physical description in 8°, brossura marrone con titoli neri e rossi, pp. 58 [6], due disegni di Toyen all’antiporta e al frontespizio.
